Need to Remove Rust Stains on the Exterior of your Home and Walkways?
Here in Hernando County, Florida we tend to have fairly hard water. As a result, when your sprinkler system pulls it’s water supply from a well, you will tend to get rust stains on your walkways and lower walls (where the water over sprays). These rust stains can turn your beautiful beige walls and clean grey walkway RUST ORANGE…This is not a great impression for buyers when you’re trying to sell the home - especially considering the walkways & driveway are usually part of their first impression (which must be perfect!). SO - what can we do to clean up these rust stains without painting/resurfacing? Oxalic Acid will do it! You take the Oxalic Acid and mix it with water in a spray bottle (or mix it in a pump-up garden sprayer). Then just spray it on wherever you have some rust stains and watch them disappear! Oxalic Acid is a naturally occuring acid that won’t hurt your plants (don’t worry about your grass or beautiful landscaping!). But it IS still acid, though - so make sure you wear goggles & use gloves! Bookmark This Post
